Kaleidoscope Kids Early Learning Centre believes that providing a supportive, loving and welcoming environment forms the foundation of our philosophy.
We aim to provide a physically safe and emotionally secure setting where children are free to explore, socialise and expand their minds using a variety of experiences, resources and learning methods.
We encourage a supportive and confidence enriching environment where the program incorporates all aspects of child development, and works to develop children's thinking, reasoning, decision making and problem solving abilities.
Our belief is that children learn through play. We aim to develop programs which support each child's individual capabilities and interests. Our staff ensure that children are given opportunities to make choices and participate in learning experiences which provide a balance between routine and spontaneity, whilst treating all children with dignity and respect.
Kaleidoscope Kids Early Learning Centre acknowledges that each child has come to us from a different background with a different culture, set of beliefs and range of experiences and understandings. We aim to ensure that we cater for and meet the individual needs of every child in the design and implementation of the program and the surrounding learning environments. We believe in the importance of modelling our support and value for diversity so that the children in our care learn to respect and honour that diversity around them.
We encourage a spirit of warmth and respect between the parents, the children and their carers. We believe it is important to recognise and respond to the unique influence that a family has in a child's life and we wish to create a setting where parents feel welcome.
We endeavour to create an environment where parents feel that they are able to leave their children in our care and know that they are safe, cared for and have all of their needs met.
We aim to develop positive and supportive relationships with all parents and the surrounding community through the use of open communication and the sharing of knowledge and skills. We value and respect these relationships, and the relationships between children and their families, and encourage parents to become involved in and contribute to the program whenever they are able to. We further aim to support the family unit by acknowledging the importance of the link between the family and the childcare option that they choose.
Kaleidoscope Kids Early Learning Centre aims to equip children with a set of life skills that will enable them to experience fulfilling and rewarding participation within their community. We believe in providing an anti-bias approach to positively support children's growth of identity and self esteem.
We acknowledge that the needs of families, children, staff and the community are ever changing and therefore ongoing review and evaluation is paramount to creating a service that is responsive to these needs. We believe Kaleidoscope Kids Early Learning Centre is a beautiful place where children not only feel wonderful and important but where the environment shows children that they can be anything or anyone they want to.
